Chapter 30 : Peach Blossom Luck in Married Couples

Written by : Master Sheng-yen Lu
Translated by : Janny Chow

As mentioned in a previous chapter, placement of the kitchen faucet (water) directly across from the stove (fire) is a feng-shui featuring inviting "peach blossom luck."

If, beyond the front door, one has two different kinds of trees, one on the right and one on the left, this also invites "peach blossom luck."

A very steep slope directly behind the house and a pond shaped like a woman's eyebrow in front of the house signifies that males of the house will have "peach blossom luck." Such a feng-shui pattern indicates that, from generation to generation, fathers and sons will marry two wives.

Features that invite "peach blossom luck" for men include the following:
1. Vines twining around a tree in front of the house--This indicates a "hard-to-shake" entanglement.

2. Water from a metal-element mountain directly facing the front door--This indicates that males of the house are handsome, "lady's men."

3. A mountain in front of the house resembling a desk that is toppled sideways as if dancing--This indicates that the man likes to loaf about.

Features that invite 'peach blossom luck" for women include the following:
1. A tree in front of the house that is swollen in both the top and the bottom--This indicates a prospensity for promiscuity.

2. A watercourse in front of the house that reverses its flowing direction--This indicates adultery.

3. Two watercourses in front of the house, rapidly flowing away--This indicates elopement with another man.

4. Beams of the house with floral designs carved upon them--This indicates that the woman will obsessed with men.

5. A forked road on the white tiger side of the house with the tiger side of the house directly facing the intersection of the fork's tines--This indicates the woman will have many men.

6. A smaller convenience door beside the main door--This indicates the wanting of both parties.

I once perrformed a feng-shui reading for a family whose male members, from the great-grandfather's generation to the great-grandson's, all had two wives. It turned out that the slope behind the family house was very steep and there was an eyebrow shaped pond in front of the house. In addition, two different kinds of trees had been growing outside the front door.

In my feng-shui readings, I have also come across cases where forked roads are right beside the tiger side of homes. One must understand that forked roads are like beauties, exposing and offering themselves. A forked road next to the tiger side can have a powerful impact on women in the household. An innocent and pure woman may become loose and wanton.

Such developments are undesirable as they are destructive to normal family life. Peach blossom luck, whether inflicted upon a man or woman, is disastrous and invites instability. Only certain individuals can benefit somewhat from peach blossom luck--actors and actresses. A handsome actor or beautiful actress with peach blossom luck will attract fans and be admired and loved by greater numbers of people. With such individuals, the greater the peach blossom luck, the greater their sex appeal and popularity.

Homes of the wealthy often have front doors so large they are difficult to open. For convenience sake, smaller side doors are occasionally added next to the front door. But, this gives a house two openings: it gives "convenience" to oneself but also to others. "Wanting both the big door and the small door" is a sign of disastrous peach blossom luck. It is acceptable to have a smaller door in addition to the main door as long as the smaller door is a sufficient distance from the latter. Avoid having the large and small doors right beside one another.

Geomancers know that "undesirable water courses ruining a prosperous spot" are waters associated with peach blossom luck. Men and women under the spells of such peach blossom luck are lost, trapped by desires, and unable to control their fanciful and fickle hearts. The presence of murmuring water or water running towards one's house with a sudden reversal and flowing away of water before the front of the door are undesirable feng-shui features associated with adulterous elopement.

The combination of water in front of the house and the presence of many secluded trees at the back of the house is a sign that the woman of the house may become involved in licentious and incestuous relationships.

To quote the feng-shui verse:

Water reversing its course leads to licentiousness,
A forked road appears as a naked display;
Even a chaste girl from a good family,
Will wind up in bed with two lovers.

An individual in a marriage stricken with peach blossom luck is like a rock tossed into the quiet lake of family life. Ripples appear. If one does not make appropriate changes, divorce and family break up may result. Those who can tolerate infidelity will face the co-existence of wife and mistress. For those who cannot tolerate such situations, there are divorce courts.

The Secrets of Earth Magic advises that feng-shui features associated with the invitation of peach blossom luck be removed and avoided. Once peach blossom luck is stirred, it is not easily managed or kept under control.

I, Living Buddha Lian-sheng, have in my lifetime helped thousands of men and women solve problems of varying magnitudes caused by sexual indiscretions. Feng-shui treatments to correct undesirable features in their homes and Tantric methods of purification and subjugation have been employed. Some of the stories I have encountered are so intriguing I could write thousands and thousands of novels based on them.

In summary, whether brought upon a man or a woman, peach blossom luck is undesirable. It can bring a sudden turn of unforseen events and turmoil to family life. If handled inappropriately, great resentment and even suicide may result.
